Hi, I’m Dr. Blauvelt. I am an Indian therapist of color. I received my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Louisiana State University. Though I’m not originally from here, I love Baton Rouge and look forward to continuing to serve this wonderful community.
I have lived with the experience of balancing two cultures, and will honor your own personal experience. In our changing society, many people are finding themselves confronted with painful new emotions, entangled with their thoughts, or have experienced a deterioration in well being. I will utilize your strengths to guide you through this time and equip you with your own set of healing tools.
I work with adults from all backgrounds and pay special attention to cultural factors related to mental health. I respect and welcome individuals from marginalized and minority populations, and I practice with an anti-discrimination, anti-oppression, and anti-racist orientation. I am allied with Veteran, LGBTQIA+, Vegan, childfree, and body neutral/anti-weight stigma communities.
